Tamiflu.

Tamiflu (oseltamivir) is used to treat flu. It is not expected to help you treat common cold and therefore shouldn't be used for that kind of condition. Altogether Tamiflu is very efficient, people are still recommended to get an annual flu shot to prevent the disease. Tamiflu is not intended for children younger than 1. Make sure you start the treatment as son as you get the first symptoms – such as fever, chills, sore throat, muscle aches, and runny or stuffy nose. You will need to take Tamiflu for 5 days, twice a day (every 12 hours) for the treatment of flu. For flu prevention it's recommended to take this drug once every 24 hours for 10 days, although your health care provider may give different instructions. Overdose symptoms for Tamiflu can include nausea and vomiting – so make sure you always take the right dose and avoid taking more of this drug. Tamiflu is usually very well tolerated, although in some cases mild side effects are possible. The following ones can occur: sleep problems, vomiting, eye redness, headache, nosebleed, dizziness, nausea, and diarrhea. Unless the side effects mentioned start to bother you too much, there is no need to report them to your health care provider.
